As part of the closing celebration as the theater prepares for an exciting renovation, the company performed a mash-up of two works in the ODC loft space. The performance was fitting; in many ways the company has to credit that specific upstairs studio for bringing together several of our founding members through an evening technique class.

Co-Artistic Directors Wendy Rein and Ryan T. Smith performed a duet created through ODC's two-week intensive residency program, tapping into the rough, convoluted, messy emotional core of a co-dependent relationship. The program was shared by fellow resident artist Holly Johnston of LA's Ledges & Bones Dance Project.

RAWdance took part in National Queer Arts Festival 2006, combining forces with visual artist Shawn Tamaribuchi and composer Chad Jones to present Per-Verses: an investigation of porn, art, erotica, and our intimate relationships. This piece presents the body serves as a battleground for personal and political debates with desire. Per-Verses was created through a Counter-Pulse winter residency as was supported in part by the San Francisco Arts Commission and the Zellerbach Family Fund.
